About Rachael

Rachael Rodgers, owner of Heir Tight Wills & Estate Planning Ltd, caters for clients across Kent, London and the South East, dealing with both business clients in their offices, and consumers in their own homes.

Having spent many years in Business Development looking after the needs and protecting the assets of large corporate organisations, Rachael was employed in the city when the bombs went off in July 2005, and this was her ‘light-bulb moment’ – she didn’t live in London, didn’t need to work in London, and she realised, she didn’t have a Will!   It was in researching the options for her own requirements that she got ‘hooked’ on the whole concept of Wills and estate planning.

Rachael joined the industry’s largest professional organisation – The Society of Will Writers & Estate Practitioners (SWW), putting herself through their full range of College courses along with those of the Institute of Professional Will Writers (IPW), and found herself a very experienced mentor who guided her through her ongoing learning process.

In a few short years Rachael was running her own company ‘Heir Tight Wills’ as a fully insured, professional Will writer and estate planner, drafting the documents herself, and as a result was taken on by a firm of Solicitors with branches across Kent and London, to provide Will writing services to their clients – both business and consumer.

Being a fully insured full member of the SWW assures Rachael keeps up to date with the numerous changes in the industry as they happen, through their compulsory continuous professional development requirements.

Rachael has taken the initiative, well ahead of the rest of her field (and unlike the majority of solicitors who write Wills) to get qualified through STEP – The Society of Trust & Estate Practitioners – recognised by the whole legal industry as the unofficial governing body in Wills, Trusts and Estate Administration – gaining their Diploma level ‘Advanced Certificate in Will Preparation’ – the highest Will writing qualification available.

Rachael only works within Wills and Estate Planning – it is her specialist area.  To use the GP analogy, using Rachael is like being referred to a consultant.
